to help us to continue creating projects that bring effective music-based programs into the lives of young children.
Music Must Continue
Shifting priorities and budget cuts have ravaged music programs funding throughout the United States, prompting a greater need to establish alternative avenues for providing music experiences for young children and those with special needs.
As a certifed 501 (c) (3) organization, you can give confidently to CBC knowing your donation will be contributing to a child’s development and assuring continued music experiences for participants who might not otherwise be exposed to the joy of learning through music.
It is through the generous support of our friends that CBC is able to continue offering programs that will change a child’s life and we invite you to join our cause.
Who does CreativeBridge Coalition work with?
One of CBC’s goals is to help kids learn through music-based programs. We are open to hearing from anyone who wishes to bring music into children's lives. We select prospective project participants on the basis of the following criteria:
1. Their needs, services, and circumstances fit within our mission
2. Their goals and intentions can be clearly articulated and appear to be reachable and fundable
3. They have non-profit status
Most participants in CBC-orchestrated projects are non-profit organizations. However, some caregivers may wish to bring a particular commercial music program or method into their environment (e.g., 'Enrichment Through Music' or the Suzuki method). In these occasions, the music provider is a for-profit entity serving the non-profit client recipient.
Does my project qualify for help?
Our team identifies appropriate music-based programs to match the educational needs of the project location and its target population.
What if our group is not a non-profit?
As a 501(c)(3) organization, we focus on bringing music to young children and children with special needs. However, we are always open to new ideas. If you are confident that you might benefit from such a coalition project without a non-profit status, contact us and we will discuss the possibilities with you.
How long does a project last?
The life span of our music-based projects is usually determined by the funding. CBC has designed and integrated projects lasting from several months to as long as five years.
How does CBC get paid?
CBC doesn’t charge any fees for exploring ideas, developing project narratives, bringing together coalition partners, or seeking funding for coalition projects. Our fees stem from the administrative and evaluative work resulting from funded projects. In addition, we often serve as consultants to non-profit organizations that seek our expertise to conceptualize ways to bring music to young and special needs children.
What is my money used for?
CBC believes in clear program transparency and ensures open communication with donors at all times. As we are able to keep our operating costs and overhead budgets low, more than 90% of donations reach program participants directly. We extend the opportunity to donors to visit CBC projects and meet the participating children, teachers and caregivers. Our clear project goals and careful oversight of the programs allow donors to see how we meet results.
How much of my donations benefits the programs directly?
CBC raises funds through solicitation of private, corporate and foundation donations and fundraising events. With our low operating costs and small overhead, we are able to use more than 90% of our donations to support project participants directly.
