We’ve had a really great second year at the Rich Center. This year’s Count Me In group consisted of very young students (ages 6-8) and our local instructor, Jon Dean, had a ball with them! Our end-of-year data suggest that these youngsters seemed to benefit a good deal from their participation in the program. However, overall news from our second full year at Rich Center is both happy and sad. On the happy side, Renee McConnell (who works at the heart of the Center’s operation) is back at work after a long, medically-related absence. And the Center has a talented new Director, Melanie Carfolo. The sad news, for CBC, is that the Center’s former Classroom Supervisor and Interim Director, Casey Annico, has moved on to a new job. Casey has been our “go to guy” for as long as we’ve been associated with the Rich Center, and we wish him all the best. Meanwhile, his replacement as Classroom Supervisor (and our new direct contact person), Rachael Dobson, has been a great help thus far in assisting in our summer program efforts. Thanks, Rachael, for everything you do to make our work easier!.
